A diffuser that hides the LED dots costs light: 91 percent transmission at 1 mm, 71 percent at 3 mm. Adding filler buys thermal conductivity from 0.20 to 0.66 W/mK and takes transmission down to 48.
A fridge liner draws to 0.5 times its width and keeps 41 percent of the sheet thickness at the bottom. The temperature window that avoids both tearing and webbing is about 16 C wide, and it moves with the sheet grade.
A shielded cable is an assembly built on an extruder, not an extrusion. Fillers take the roundness deviation from 9.5 percent at a 70 percent fill to 1.2 at 97, and braid coverage takes shielding effectiveness from 22 dB to 61.
A vent that is too shallow burns the part and a vent that is too deep flashes it, and the two curves cross at 0.02 mm. Position matters as much as depth: going from one vent to four cuts the burn rate from 6.2 percent to 1.4.
Grip is interference plus friction, and stretching for assembly spends the interference. Pull-off force climbs from 30 N at no stretch to 64 N at 15 percent, then falls, because past that the wall thins faster than the grip grows.

An undercut is a decision made at the design review, not a defect found at tryout. Each side action adds 8 to 15 percent to the cycle, and slide wear shows up as flash long before it shows up as a stoppage.
A peristaltic pump doses by lumen area, so a 0.20 mm bore tolerance is a 17 percent dose error before anything else goes wrong. And the wall compression that gives a reliable occlusion is what wears the tube out: 5 percent gives 1,250 hours, 25 percent gives 145.
An ESD tray is a surface, not a material: 5 percent carbon black puts the surface resistivity at 10 to the 7.2, and 15 percent only reaches 10 to the 4.2 while making the tray brittle. Pocket clearance peaks at half a millimetre, and both tighter and looser lose picks.
A colour code is read once, at two in the morning, by somebody with a knife. Below 0.5 mm of stripe width the correct identification rate falls to 81 percent, and above eight cores in a bundle the mis-identification rate climbs steeply.
Ejection is a force divided by an area, and both halves are yours to change. One degree of draft instead of half cuts the force by a third, and going from two pins to twelve cuts the mark from 42 microns to 6 without touching the force at all.
